Although the women in this image are fictitious, they are archetypes based on those that I met while teaching a creative writing/illustration class in 1982 at a Mother's Day Out session hosted by a local synagogue. In the process of teaching, my own writing skills began to focus and 'The Writers' became a part of the dynamic puzzle that, in stages of our creative evolution, shows us the inextricable links between words and images.
