Description:
In 'Sarah Omeinu'(Our Mother), I have depicted the Akedat Yitzhak (The Sacrifice of Isaac) from a mother's point of view. As Sarah sits contemplating what will be the fate of her only son, Abraham and Isaac go off to Mt. Moriah to carry out God's command. Sarah, who could not conceive a child until near the end of her long life, holds the sandal of her beloved son, not knowing when, or if he will return. It is a heart-rending look at this little explored facet of the Rosh Hashanah story that is central to Judaism.
